JERPS PS

Privacy

Last updated 2026-07-23. A plain description of what JERPS PS collects and why — not a substitute for your school's own data-protection obligations to families.

What we store

To run a school's account, JERPS PS stores: staff accounts (name, email, role); student records (name, matricule, class, enrolment history); assessment marks and the resulting report cards; and school-level details a head teacher provides during setup (academic year, school profile, an optional logo). Signing up for a free trial collects your name, school name, email, and a password you choose — we send a verification link to that email before the account is usable. Report cards and results are the core purpose of the product — this data isn't collected for any secondary use.

Who can see it

Every school's data is isolated from every other school's — a staff account can only ever see records belonging to their own school. A small number of platform staff can access a school's account to provide support; each access is logged, and any support session ends automatically after a fixed period.

Students and children's data

Student records belong to the enrolling school, not to JERPS PS. We process them on the school's behalf, at the school's direction, for the purpose of producing results and report cards. Requests to correct or remove a student's record should go through the school first.

Third parties

Two external services are used: Google Fonts (loads typefaces used across the site) and an email provider (delivers account notifications — invites, password resets, billing notices). Neither receives student data. There is no advertising, analytics, or tracking script on this site.

Security

Passwords are hashed, never stored or logged in the clear. Access is role-based and enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface. Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies. Security-relevant events (sign-ins, permission failures) are logged for abuse detection, not for monitoring individual behaviour.

Retention

Records are kept for as long as a school's account is active, plus a reasonable period after, so results remain available if a school needs to reprint a past report card. A school or platform staff can request deletion of specific records via the contact below.
